Personal benefit statements

One of the most important ways for you to stay informed in relation to your pension is by receiving and reviewing your personal benefit statements.

If you are an active member of a pension scheme, you are entitled to receive a personal benefit statement annually - your "annual benefit statement".

The information must relate to a date not earlier than six months before the date the statement is issued.

Personal benefit statements for Personal Retirement Savings Accounts (PRSAs) are prepared by PRSA providers every six months.

For a summary list of information that should be contained in an annual benefit statement see the Pensions Authority's Summary Information - Annual Benefit Statement under 'Related Information'.
