Relaunch of pensionsboard.ie

OVER 18,000 USING PENSIONS WEBSITE PER MONTH

Thursday 27 October 2005: The Pensions Board has relaunched its website, www.pensionsboard.ie , with an improved layout and search facility, easier accessibility and an increased amount of pensions information available online. The website features an online comment form, an updated online pensions calculator and a new ‘Guide to Pensions’ section.

The new website facilitates easy access to pensions booklets, sections dedicated to regulation and pensions policy as well as an archiving section for news items, press releases and presentations. It also features a specific section on Trustee Information, which provides extensive information for trustees and administrators of occupational pension schemes.

The FAQ and Presentations sections are useful resources for those researching pensions issues. The website also features an updated pensions calculator, which allows people to estimate the amount of money, net of tax, that they would need to contribute to their pension in relation to their age and current yearly salary to end up with the level of pension they would like to receive in retirement.

Discussing the new website, Mary Hutch, Head of Information and Training, Pensions Board said: “The new website makes it even easier for consumers to go online, get the pensions information they require or check that they are contributing adequately for their retirement through our online pensions calculator. The new online comment form in the customer services section of the website allows users to provide their feedback on the site or send us queries which they might have on pensions, via the internet.

“Currently we have average monthly visitors of 18,076 to the Pensions Board website and we hope to attract even more web users in the months ahead, with the user-friendly design, improved functionality and increased availability of information. I’d encourage everybody to try out the new website,” said Ms Hutch.
