The Pensions Authority has issued an RFT on eTenders for the provision of pensions, regulatory and corporate governance expertise

Wednesday 8 August 2018: The Pensions Authority has issued an RFT on eTenders for the provision of pensions, regulatory and corporate governance expertise to provide advice and technical support in developing a new supervisory regime for occupational pension schemes.

The Authority wishes to procure a dedicated resource with pensions, regulatory and corporate governance expertise to provide advice and technical support in developing a supervisory framework to:

• comply with the requirements of the IORP II Directive to implement a forward-looking and risk-based approach to supervision; and
• support the Pensions Authority’s objective of pension scheme rationalisation.

The term of the contract is for a twelve month period with the option to extend for a further six months. The deadline for responses to the RFT is 5pm on Wednesday 29 August 2018.
